BMW iX becomes the most anticipated car to arrive in BMW dealerships this year. According to reports, the iX is supposed to be the next technology flagship of BMW, snatching the title from the 7 Series. Therefore, you can definitely expect a lot of things from this car. And despite already seeing its design, some of its specs remain unknown, together with all the tech it will include. But what if we get a mix of its DNA with the M Series?
X-Tomi Design, the owner of this render, tested the potential of getting a BMW iX M by blending the M version into the iX. Clearly, you can see the heavy redesign upfront, as it features the BMW G82 M4 grille instead of the usual iX grille. It displays a more aggressive front bumper coupled with large intakes and a massive set of 21″ or 22″ wheels.
The BMW iX is roughly similar to the size of an X5. While wheel sizes of the X5 M are in that range; meaning any potentially M-ified version would have similarly sized wheels. Considering the future of electric cars, the BMW iX M has a greater chance of becoming a reality. In the meantime, it appears that the first fully-electric BMW M Performance would be in the form of the BMW i4 M50. It’s only a matter of time until we get a fully-electric M model in the market.
We’re still unsure whether the first one will be an SUV like the iX or a different body style, but it’s unavoidable to consider such extreme cases in the future. Suppose a car with 1,000 HP, all-wheel drive, and can sprint close to 3 seconds. That would definitely excite many enthusiasts.
