[Video] A BMW 730d Boasts a 900-mile Drive on One tank

Joe Achilles proves that his BMW 730d can run vast distances despite very little fuel. And even though it’s one of the biggest and heaviest cars today, this video allows him to show its good side. A diesel engine is the first to die off when the internal combustion finally commences its descent into its obsoleteness. However biased it might be, this does not happen because of its mere reputation. Nevertheless, the range is an attribute of diesel engines that we just cannot deny. Even by their most straightforward rivals.

This video of Achilles shows his attempt to use a one-tank fuel while reaching that 890 miles. After a long time of lockdowns, his plan of having that lovely round trip includes driving from London to Barcelona. Sadly, he cannot travel to Barcelona or anywhere outside the UK. And it’s because of another pandemic lockdowns in the country. Given that, Achilles plans a new route that will reach his home country and would be equal to 890 miles.

This video gives us an interesting subject as he brings the BMW 730d in the spotlight. Its absolutely massive fuel tank pairs its super-efficient 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six diesel engine. The downside, however, is that it’s legitimately a large expensive car. However efficient it may be, the 730d cannot be as efficient as some diesel-powered cars today. But this video might prove us wrong! On a single tank, Achilles takes a trip that reached over 900 miles and with an average of more than 50 mph during the whole trip.

Honestly, this is incredibly outstanding. A 900 miles is candidly outrageous even for an efficient big-diesel 7 Series. It’s hard to reach a straight-line reference for just how far 900 miles is. It’s because Achilles basically drove around England that is nearly a third of the whole United States. 900 miles can be a route from London to Budapest, and a travel reached by a flying crow. 900 miles, for those who are in the US, would be equal to a drive from Manhattan to Missouri. We should also take note that this a drive on one tank of fuel.

Indeed, Achilles should get a recognition for taking this impressive journey with the BMW 730d.
