The BMW M4 GT4 takes the crown for the “Race Car of the Year” at the Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards. It is not the typical type of M4 we see with some BMW M stickers on it. But rather, it is an impressive piece of machinery. Moreover, the BMW M4 GT4 won nine SRO Pirelli GT4 SprintX races and three GS Class IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge races. It also won the SRO Intercontinental GT Indianapolis 8 Hour for the GT4 Class.

BMW packs the same engine from the BMW M4 road car to the BMW M4 GT4. It comes with a 3.0-liter S55 inline 6-cylinder engine. The BMW M4 GT4’s power-to-weight ratio is better than the M4 road car. However, the shaved 700 pounds weight of the M4 GT4 than the M4 road car due to its carbon materials. From the roof, hood, doors, rear wings, and front splitters made of carbon, the BMW M4 GT4 has been gutted.

Furthermore, the GT4 comes packed with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with custom motorsport software. Its motorsport software transfers power with full racing slicks through a mechanical limited-slip differential to its 18-inch wheels. It also has a chassis featuring specially-valved Ohlins motorsport shock absorbers at the corner. The M4 GT4 also has three-stage motorsport anti-roll bars.
