[Video] The latest BMW M4 GT3 meets BMW M4

Many have seen how the new BMW M4 takes on its rivals and hits the road. Yet, the M4 remains as impressive as it is. Recently, the German automaker is up to the development of the new BMW M4 GT3 racing car. BMWBLOG releases a new video giving insights into the improved BMW M4 GT3 racing car. It features BMW’s BMW Group Designworks Global Automotive Director Michael Scully. The Exterior Designer of the BMW M4 Competition, Anne Forschner, also joins the team. The new kidney grille takes the spotlight at the new M4 GT3. Check out this new BMW M4 GT3 race car from this newly released video of BMWBLOG.

These guys from BMWBLOG say that the new M4 GT3 retains the production car’s perimeter geometry. Their opened-up interior surfaces celebrate the care and feeding of the enhanced cooling requirements of the engine for the M4 GT3. Moreover, the front corner lights of the M4 GT3 get better aero coefficients. It also gives nighttime visibility at high speeds during endurance races, which comes in handy for the M4 GT3.

The roofs of the new BMW M4 GT3 with its two longitudinal fins are the same as those from the BMW M4 Competition. Both the BMW M4 Competition and the GT3 share similarities with the heavily raked rear window. These elements cause an ideal airflow to the M4 GT3 race car’s rear wing, providing better aerodynamics. The new GT3 has 75 millimeters wider on each side compared to its road-legal counterpart M4.

Furthermore, the black element of the M4 is also on the race car. It gives it more of a lightweight feeling and helps its proportions. This race car version of the M4 lets the exhaust air out on a dedicated area, rather than the explicit air breather. Take a look at the BMWBLOG’s video for more details and a comparison to the M4.
