At the start of the year, MINI released the F-series’ second facelift. In two to three years, the brand’s executives opted to provide one more upgrade to refresh the G-series’ appearance. Therefore, the 2021 MINI Cooper SE receives a few new modifications and a fashion boost. It is a fun electric vehicle to drive with its low centre of gravity and model-specific chassis setup.
It’s ideal for city driving, with its emission-free front-wheel driven machine. With a range of around 203-234 kilometres, the MINI SE owns a 32.6 kWh battery pack and a 135kW/184 hp electric motor. There are also four distinct driving modes to choose from, including a mid setting that appears to be the best. If you want to save battery power, you can also choose Green or Green+.
MINI has modified the front and back aprons of the MINI SE. A green “S†replaces the E-logo on the front, and it has no longer have two driving lights on either side on the front bumper. It also boasts a moustache-shaped hexagonal radiator grille and new darker headlights. There are more than seven different wheels choices available for this electric vehicle. With varying gradients of colour, you can also choose from jet Black, San Marino Blue and Pearly Aqua for a multi-tone roof.
Offering a wide range of alternatives to meet your preferences, MINI also modified the interior as well. An anthracite-coloured roof lining, light-grey fabric/leatherette sports seats, and printed logos on the door sill trims are now standard on the car. The multimedia system has a new main menu with live widgets, along with a heated steering wheel. The Stop and Go function is now part of the Active Cruise Control.
In general, the 2021 MINI Cooper SE doesn’t outperform its competitors in terms of overall performance. However, in terms of personalization and options, the MINI is currently one of the best cars.
