[Video] BMW M5 Competition vs Taycan Turbo S and Rimac Nevera

There is no doubt that the BMW M5 Competition is a fast car. As we are heading towards an electric future, the M5 Competition is considered as one of the fastest sedans ever and one that is made with an internal combustion engine. In this video, the Car Throttle team represents the “internal combustion” category through a highly interesting drag race. This drag race involves two rivals, which we cannot just call electric cars but also supercars.

The BMW M5 Competition competes against the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the Rimac Nevera. The Rimac Nevera is an entirely new model. While the Taycan Turbo S is probably a familiar name to us already. Designed by the manufacturer from Croatia. The Nevera aims to demonstrate to the world for the first time what an electric supercar is capable of. While it is part of Porsche’s business properties, Rimac also now owns Bugatti. It’s quite a feat for a small company that a young local found.

With four electric motors producing 1,914 horsepower and 2,360 Nm of torque, the Nevera is their most recent model. The car also has all-wheel drive because each motor drives a wheel. The other two cars in this race will resemble traffic cones in comparison. They don’t come close to what the Nevera has onboard even when their power outputs are added together. The BMW has 625 HP and 750 Nm of torque. The Taycan has 761 HP and 1,050 Nm of torque.

It makes no difference even if all cars are all-wheel drive. Furthermore, the Taycan Turbo S takes the top spot as the heaviest. Thereby, giving us more worthy notes about the new Nevera. And, while you can probably guess where this is going, there is one very important point to make here: the price. An obvious sign is that even if you have the money, you cannot really purchase one as it costs approximately $3 million.
