[Video] BMW 330e performs well on the Autobahn speed test

Electric cars have already dominated the car industry and it is not surprising that many car enthusiasts have switched to EVs. The BMW 330e, for example, offers an excellent balance of performance, electric range, and low fuel consumption when used correctly. Indeed, Europeans have now switched to EVs after holding on to diesel for a long time. In fact, for the whole month of August, JATO Dynamics reported that electrified cars (PHEVs and EVs) have a larger market share than diesel.

As a result of consumers’ shifting preferences, there would be changes in the manufacturers’ production plans. PHEV and BEV demand may force BMW, for instance, to reorganize its production facilities to meet the market need. With that, the 330e has been a widely well-loved vehicle in Europe right now. The plug-in hybrid 3 Series model, including the 320e, was Europe’s third most popular option in the PHEV rankings for August, after the Ford Kuga and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

In this video, let us see how the 330e performs on an unrestricted Autobahn. Since we know that diesel delivers higher torque with better fuel consumption figures, this touring version would be more economical. No wonder why German car owners prefer practical vehicle.

Without any compromise, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor sit at its core, generating 292 hp and 420 Nm of torque. This provides sporty handling and acceleration, sprinting from zero to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds. Finally, this model boasts of reaching double the speed in just 22.94 seconds.
