Achilles Tries BMW M4 on the Nürburgring tracks

Joe Achilles brought home a standard BMW M4 with a manual transmission. Unlike in the UK that BMW only sells Competition models with automatic transmissions, he can properly test the M4 to see how it differs from his G80 M3. Not only does the M4 drive on some German roads, but Achilles also takes it to the Nürburgring. Check out this video below for the M4 full performance.

It’s been years since Achilles last visited the Nürburgring that is why he’s trying to relearn the track while also adjusting to the M4 at the same time. Both cars can be fast, but the BMW M4 manoeuvres very differently than the M3. All M3/M4 versions have a lot of mechanical grips, but they are so torquey that their rear tires can easily be overwhelmed, especially on a high-speed track like the Nürburgring.

Joe admits that driving on the ‘Ring can be nerve-wracking, especially because there are other vehicles in there. And many of those cars are much faster than what he’s driving. That’s is why he advises being more aware of the surroundings to drive safely.

Achilles has a good time driving the M4 on the ‘Ring. He gets to push the car hard which makes the experience even more exciting. Since in the UK, most cars only have the auto-spec, testing the manual version is another interesting experience.
