[VIDEO] BMW i4 M50 seen in a short film in Berlin

The BMW i4 M50, touted as the Top Gear’s Saloon of the Year, is finally available this year after a long wait. The M50 can now be ordered in many different countries. In the US, customer deliveries will start March 2022. Below is a video of this EV Gran Coupe in Frozen Portimao Blue, showing its smooth ride through the nighttime streets of Berlin.

BMW M enlisted the support of DJ and producer Alex Niggemann to create a unique score for this 14-minute video. The 1980s-style music has strong synth-pop vibes that fit well with the footage because it is so soothing. The two engines of the zero-emission i4 M50, which produce 536 hp, cannot reach their full potential on city streets with many speed limits. Since it is already in Germany, the Autobahn would be a perfect place to test the 3.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and the top speed of 225 km/h.

Although drivers have yet to adjust to the polarising kidney grille, both cars are gorgeous automobiles, especially when they come in such a refined livery as the i4 and the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Meanwhile, Alpina is launching its four-door B4 Coupe with a quad exhaust system.

With the M-badged i model shown here, BMW’s high-performance division is paving the way for more electric vehicles. According to recent reports, the iX M60 will arrive next year with over 600 horsepower. The new 7 Series will include an EV option, as will the new 5 Series a year later.
