BMW M760i Final V12 could be the last twelve-cylinder car

The massive V12 is coming to an end, as BMW will turn off the 6.6-litre supercharged engine in the near future. The M760i Final V12 with 601 horsepower will be the farewell model of the M760i. BMW will produce 12 cars in total with June being the latest.

Compared to the regular M760i xDrive, which has a starting price of $157,800 in the United States, the M760i Final V12 will cost a total of $200,000. Although it was available for 35 years, the V12 is no longer available thanks to the twin-turbo luxobarge. It was first introduced in 1987 as the M70 with a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre engine and 295 hp. Its modern counterpart, the N74 has more than twice the power of the original. The luxury car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, thanks to its uphill 627 pound-feet of torque.

The M760i Final V12 also comes with new 20-inch M twin-spoke wheels in Window Grey or Jet Black. The Style 760M wheels with burnished accents are mounted on high-performance run-flat tires. The “1 of 12” badge on the centre console as well as several “The Final V12” badges help distinguish it from the standard V12-powered 7 Series Sedan.

As an added incentive, BMW is including a commemorative gift designed especially for the car’s owner. The M Sport brake callipers are available in both black and blue but you can combine it with other colours. The Sky Lounge panoramic roof LED and laser headlights are part of the M760i Final V12’s extensive equipment list. Piano Black Finish interior trim and any BMW Individual full Merino leather shade are part of the standard equipment list.

The extended Shadowline trim and Driving Assistance Professional package are part of the V12 7 Series’ farewell list. Additionally, you get Remote Control Parking to round out the package. Until July 2022, customers can expect to receive a unique desk trophy showing the exact specifications of their vehicle, including VIN, the BMW Individual paint colour and the type of leather they have chosen for the interior.
