[VIDEO] Things to like about the 2022 BMW M240i

The new 2022 BMW M240i design is not as controversial as that of the new M3 and M4, but it does contain some controversial design elements. BMW offered a production car with a classic design for the first time, with unique aspects that set it apart from the competition. Externally, BMW clearly set the 2 Series apart from the rest of the model range. Compared to a Roundel, the headlights, the radiator grille, the Hofmeister kink, the rear lights and the entire design are completely different.

Many like the B58 engine under the hood. Based on BMW’s motors, the 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six is by far the greatest engine. You’ll see how big of a statement that is if you look at some of BMW has built. That being said, it has one of the best six-cylinder engines in the world. The BMW M240i has 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about four seconds. It is also silky smooth, makes a wonderful noise (particularly the US version) and is a pleasure to drive in any situation.

Car enthusiasts expecting a drastic departure from BMW’s design language in the interior will be disappointed. The interior of the BMW M240i is essentially identical to that of the 3 and 4 Series or any current BMW. This allows the M240i to have excellent engineering and build quality, even if it’s not fascinating. In fact, at this price range, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a cabin with more incredible electronics and build quality. Unfortunately, BMW eliminated M240i’s manual. No one bought the last-generation 2 Series with a manual transmission. Hence, BMW will equip the M240i with an eight-speed automatic from ZF instead.

BMW will offer the new BMW M240i in its most beautiful colour, Thundernight Mettalic, to make it even more attractive. Distinctive colours are what make driving so exciting, even though that’s been said for years. And now let us take a look at this 2022 BMW M240i test.
