Check out the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer in this review

For the first time ever, the new 2 Series Active Tourer looks more like an SUV than a minivan. It also inherits many features from more expensive BMWs, such as the iX, without the added premium cost. The international media launch of BMW’s latest front-wheel drive model is in Malaga, Spain. For two days, they drove the BMW 220i Active Tourer, the BMW 223i Active Tourer and the all-new 230e plug-in hybrid.

The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer for 2022 represents one of the most significant aesthetic changes in the automaker’s history. It has a large new grille combined with sleek new headlights, slim taillights and flush i4-style door handles, making it look more menacing than ever. The C-pillar and roofline have been revised to look more like those of a small crossover. A higher, more upright front end and a lower, more relaxed seating position are other features of the new car.

The 2 Series Active Tourer has always been known for its spacious and comfortable interior. The material and equipment quality, on the other hand, did not meet BMW standards. This is no longer the case with the current model, which is completely different. The dashboard is simple, beautiful and futuristic and borrows heavily from BMW’s top-of-the-line iX model in terms of technology. The new door panels and redesigned seats are just two of the many notable innovations. There are also other storage areas, such as the armrest and the ingenious vertical wireless charging tray in front of the cup holders.

Moving on to the BMW 223i Active Tourer, there are different engine options BMW offers. The new Active Tourer has 218 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque (360 Nm), making it sharper on the road and much more enjoyable to drive in corners. Thanks to the significantly increased power, you’ll feel an enhanced driving experience and a heightened sense of exhilaration when driving. Taking corners is much easier and quicker, making driving more fun. The inertia of the 220i model has disappeared. In March, European buyers will be able to hold the Active Tourer in their hands for the first time.
