BMW mostly presented the interior of the 3 Series LCI during its debut. We expected this because the exterior did not change a lot. But one upgrade we almost missed is presented in this video. Watch the 2023 BMW M340i boast its optional carbon roof.
Nothing much changed on how the 3 Series LCI looked. Aside from the sharper-designed headlights and small changes on the bumpers. But it’s time we give more attention to the carbon-fiber roof optional for the M340i and M340d.
BMW will offer the M Performance version of the 3 Series with a carbon-fiber roof at an additional cost. Nevertheless, the video here proves it to be worth the additional price. The M340i sedan here comes in an individual paint; Frozen Pure Grey II. It also features the M3-like side mirror caps and chrome badging.
Since we have here an M Performance car created in 2022, it wears the vintage BMW Motorsport logo. BMW M celebrates its 50th anniversary with the offering of its vintage logos. And you can only have this logo this year.
Another detail we see here is the absence of an xDrive badge. We usually see this on the left side of the trunk lid This makes sense because the M340i and M340d come with an all-wheel drive. Thus, this reduction in badges is not that critical.
Moving inside, more changes come to the M340i aside from the iDrive 8 infotainment system. The 14.9-inch touchscreen swallowed the climate controls. This makes the dashboard look cleaner and more simplified. Additionally, the bulky lever of the automatic transmission is also gone. Although the combustion engine stayed the same, it now comes with a mild-hybrid 48V system.
Going back to the exterior, this walkaround video will showcase the M340i’s sharper look. Also, watch the 2023 BMW M340i proudly present its optional carbon-fiber roof in this video!
