Another spoiler came before the grand reveal of a must-awaited BMW. This time we have leaked photos of BMW X1 and iX1 before their debut.
Official photos of the X1 and iX1 leaked on social media platforms before their scheduled reveal. The new bimmers were set to make their debut on June 1 in Europe. The images showed the gasoline-powered X1 and its electric crossover version, iX1. Although most details are still unofficially released, we can make some of it in these leaked images.
First, we confirm that the X1 and iX1 are stunning. It has the lines from the X3 crossover but with a redesigned front end. They also have new-looking headlights. The M Sport Package looks more aggressive with its large air intakes and dynamic shapes. We see larger kidneys with enlarged outer edges and a shark-like nose. Upside-down corona lights on the headlights give a modern vibe to these new bimmers.
Sporty and dynamic, the side view has creases and lines around the X1 and iX1. The coupe-like roofline completes their stunning rear-end view. It also has a large roof spoiler to complete the look. The classic BMW L-shaped lights have a refreshed look in these new models.
The grand iDrive 8 operating system graces the interior as the main attraction. For the specs, the new BMW Gen5 eDrive platform powers the BMW iX1 electric SUV. It delivers 200 kW of power (268 hp) with an additional 30 kW (40 hp) during heavy load. The battery carries 64.7 kWh delivering a WLTP range of 438 kilometers. Its charging capacity is 11 kW with an optional 22 kW for those who want it.
Leaked photos of BMW X1 and iX1 before their release surely did not spoil the grand debut. Stay tuned for the great reveal of these new and must-awaited BMWs!
