For the cabin, customers can choose from 16 themes. There are also five trim finishes to choose from for the dashboard. These are already enough for a customized wagon even before the extra components. As of now, the full configurator is still not available. But once it does, customers can expect additional prices for the equipment and bits.

As for the exterior, the M3 Touring in Germany will have a lot of paint choices. This includes the Alpine White, Aventurine Red, Sapphire Black, and the Sky Scraper Gray. It also includes BMW M paints such as Sao Paulo Yellow, Portimao Blue, Toronto Red, Isle of Men Green, and Brooklyn Grey. For Individual Paints, it has the Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey. BMW Individual Frozen paints are also available. These include the Brilliant White, Portimao Blue, Pure Grey, Black, and Orange.

Regardless of the exterior paint, the roof comes in glossy black paint. Even the roof rails and roof diffuser have the same standard color. This means no carbon-fiber roof for the BMW M3 Touring. This contrasts with its sedan brother which has a carbon-fiber roof. Nevertheless, it carries a bespoke 3D-printed roof spoiler.

The quad 100-mm exhaust tips also come in black chrome. However, if you want the traditional shiny chrome, then you can have it as well.
