The BMW M3 is already used to having competitors in the market. For the first-ever M3 Touring, competition comes in the face of the Audi RS4 Avant. Here is the BMW M3 Touring compared with Audi RS4 Avant in a photo comparison.
To be honest, the front-end design of the M3 Touring loses against the Audi RS4 Avant. Many fans already accepted the M3’s monster grille. But more people will agree that the RS4 Avant looks better than the bimmer. For an analogy, the M3 Touring has the personality but the RS4 Avant is more handsome.
For the side profile, these two look really different. The Audi RS4 Avant looks very simple, subtle, and traditional. Its wheel arches are large but elegant. The roofline is traditional, while the wheels are large but simple. Also, the door handles are tucked neatly. Overall, it’s not a stunner but it is very handsome and neat. On the other hand, the BMW M3 Touring looks more aggressive. It has a sharper roofline, loud wheels, and a huge fender vent.
Out back, the RS4 Avant remains the subtle, handsome, and toned-down car. In contrast, the M3 Touring is glaringly aggressive and sportier. Unlike the front-end design, the M3 Touring’s rear looks a lot better, compared to the Audi. Of course, the Audi also looks good, but the M3 Touring takes the point here.
For the interior, the BMW M3 Touring screams entertainment and fun. Still, the RS4 Avant’s interior looks elegant enough to compete. However, it’s hard not to love the interior of the Bimmer more than the Audi. Its carbon-fiber seats and paddle shifters alone made the cabin more special. Not to mention the curved iDrive 8 screen is a real stunner. Overall, the M3 Touring takes a win for the cabin.
