BMW 3 Series LCI Configurator now on BMW USA Site

Recent LCI surgery on the G20-generation BMW 3 Series resulted in new headlights, a new front bumper, and updated interior components. Removing the character of the pre-LCI 3 Series resulted to a cleaner, sportier car appearance. With the help of the configurator, we can customise the 330i, 330e, and M340i models. All of which are available in either rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations. Despite receiving less attention than it deserves, the BMW 330e is still one of the best 3 Series vehicles you can buy, thanks to a new rear-wheel-drive system.

Unfortunately, the colour selections for the 3 Series are still lacking. The Phytonic Blue is a good colour but a little dated and stale. On the other hand, Melbourne Red isn’t any better, while Portimao Blue needed the M Sport package because of the wheels. The M Sport package’s wheel options don’t look any sportier than the regular wheel alternatives.

I went with Mocha, a two-tone brown and black colour that looks great in the interior. The Phytonic Blue paint is also a great match. BMW’s new iDrive 8 controls all of the car’s latest technology, making the interior feel more up-to-date. It’s the only new choice in terms of technology, but it’s a nice one: the 3 Series now offers 5G connectivity.

Overall, the new 3 Series design is still very BMW-like, making it stand out from other BMW cars on the market. You won’t find any grilles, wacky headlight designs or large wheels on this vehicle. Even with the LCI, it’s still a gorgeous 3 Series, but it now appears sportier and more contemporary.
