Frozen Brands Hatch Grey isn’t the ideal colour for the M5 CS, but it is a nice matte grey that gives it a unique appearance. Particularly with those dreadful yellow beams on the front. There is only one interior configuration for the M5 CS, and it is this one. The seats are carbon fibre sport buckets and the rear seats are great bucket seats upholstered in a blend of black leather and Alcantara. The latter are fantastic, turning it into a four-door race vehicle.
The standard 4.4-litre V8 with twin turbocharging provides 627 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. The M5 CS has the best power-to-weight ratio of any M car because it’s lighter than the regular M5. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds.
However, the M5 CS’s speed isn’t even its most robust feature. It’s the way it’s driven. When it comes to chassis and suspension dynamics for large sedans, the BMW M5 CS is unparalleled. It’s hard to imagine that this massive, hefty car is based on the standard M5 because of how fluid, direct, and enjoyable it is. The F90 M5 was fantastic. While behind the wheel, you’ll notice that BMW has mellowed out the standard M5 on purpose. It’s like comparing the CS to a whole other vehicle.
