BMW X4 50 Jahre M Edition Launches as one of the Limited Special Edition Cars

BMW commemorates 50 years of M by releasing only ten special edition vehicles in India. Now that we’ve established half of the cast, meeting the sixth and final newcomer is time. As you might expect, the 50 Jahre M Edition is not based on an actual M model, but rather on the X4 30i and X4 30d.

Produced in India at the BMW Group Plant Chennai, this model is a Black Edition with an anniversary badge to mark the M division’s 50th anniversary. The black kidney grille has a mesh pattern, and the door projectors have a Motorsport symbol. The sporty SUV has Jet Black 20-inch alloys and red M Sport brake callipers.

BMW India also includes the M Aerodynamic Package with body-colour front, rear aprons, side sill covers, and adaptive matrix LED headlamps as standard equipment. The X4 50 Years M Edition features the M High Gloss Shadow line and black leather Vernasca stitching to complement the dark theme. The coupe-SUV isn’t just Black Sapphire.

The long list of outstanding features that come as standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof and an M-branded leather steering wheel. Both the power-adjustable sports seats and the anthracite headliner are included in the price. In addition to the pair of 12.3-inch screens, the shopper receives a head-up display and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system. The X4 30i and X4 30d retain their 3.0-liter inline-six engines and eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmissions. The gasoline version has 252 hp and 350 Nm of torque (257 lb.-ft.), while the diesel version has 265 hp and 620 Nm (456 lb-ft). The 30i takes 6.6 seconds to reach 100 km/h, while the oil-burner needs 5.8.
