Unleashing the Power of the Modified 2022 BMW M340i Touring

The M340i Touring is the perfect vehicle for anyone with a one-car garage. It’s a luxurious, sporty wagon with a powerful inline-six engine and spacious interior. Despite its performance capabilities, it is still more affordable than the M3 Touring, and it doesn’t have the large kidney grille of the G81.

This 2022 pre-facelift M340i Touring model has been modified by Manhart and painted in Dravit Grey. It is one of the last pre-LCI vehicles built by BMW before the company made some small styling changes and installed the iDrive 8 later in the year.

The engine has been optimized to deliver an impressive 470 horsepower, almost 100 ho more than the standard model. The torque has also been increased by 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) to 640 Nm (471 lb-ft), making it just 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) less than the M3 Touring. With winter tires, it can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.1 seconds, 0.4 seconds quicker than the standard M340i Touring.

The modified wagon reached an impressive speed of 253 km/h (157 mph), according to the digital speedometer on an unrestricted section of the Autobahn. Despite the electronic cap, the real speed was still slightly lower. For those who want even more performance, the M3 Touring with the optional M Drive’s Package can reach 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds and 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 12.9 seconds, with a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h).
