The 2022 BMW M4 xDrive and 2018 Nissan GTR R35 are engineering feats. In this drag race showdown, both showcased their prowess. Although their powertrains vary, their performance seemed closely matched.
The 2022 BMW M4 Competition xDrive boasts a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-6, delivering 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Clearly, it’s power-packed. With its xDrive all-wheel-drive, the M4 launches swiftly, ensuring superb grip.
The 2018 Nissan GTR R35, a Japanese engineering icon, is famed for its performance and all-wheel drive. Its handmade 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 delivers a massive 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. The advanced ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive ensures a firm grip, making it a track-and-drag race powerhouse.
Both cars began the first roll race at 32 mph in second gear. The BMW M4 xDrive showcased its immense power and grip. Although the Nissan GTR R35 trailed the M4, the lead was sizable enough to crown the M4 as the victor.

The Nissan GTR R35’s 0-60 time was an impressive 2.8 seconds. But in the quarter-mile, the M4 shined, clocking 11 seconds flat, while the GTR finished at 11.05 seconds.
Both vehicles are exceptional in their own ways. Even though the 2022 BMW M4 xDrive consistently won, the victory margins were often slim, highlighting the close competition.
