BMW i4 in Mora Metallic: A True Showstopper

At the recent Test Fest 2023 in South Carolina, BMW showcased an exceptional i4 model adorned in Mora Metallic alongside the Frozen Solid White M3 CS. This luxury all-electric Gran Coupe, in its xDrive40 variant, boasts the M Sport Package and Shadowline accents, fitting for a vehicle of such public prominence.

For a majestic sum of $77,920 – over $8,000 above the i4 M50 before adding extras – you can own this exact i4 model. The individual Mora Metallic paint is a lavish $4,500, and adding the M Sport Package is another $2,200. Fancy the Oyster Vernasca leather interior? That’s an additional $1,500. Tally up the $995 for destination fees, $1,900 for the Premium Package, $950 for the Shadowline Package, and $700 for the Parking Assistance Package, and you’re nearly at $78,000.

If you’re eyeing the latest model, consider waiting for BMW’s upcoming Life Cycle Impulse for the i4 range next year. This update will align the sleek liftback with the imminent revisions of the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Camouflaged prototypes, already spotted on public roads, hint at sharper headlights, though partially concealed during testing.

According to rumours, BMW plans to kick off the production of the i4 LCI in July next year. This positions the facelifted version as a probable 2025 model year in the US, especially since the current model has entered its 2024 model year. The company anticipates producing this updated i4 until mid-2028, after which a new EV, part of the Neue Klasse platform and with its internal codename, might take its place. Interestingly, the current i4, known internally as the G26, shares the CLAR platform with the 4 Series Gran Coupe, which accommodates gasoline and diesel engines.
