Opt for the manual; you’ll hit 62 mph in 4.3 seconds, but the automatic shaves that down to 4.1 seconds. Plus, with the M Driver’s Package, you’re not capped at 155 mph – push it up to 174 mph and feel the ultimate power of BMW’s engineering.
The Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0, powered by a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, boasts 394 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. Choose between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The automatic hits 62 mph in 4.0 seconds; the manual 4.5 seconds. Initially, the top speed caps at 155 mph. However, with the Sport Chrono Package, it surges to 182 mph.
The Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 accelerates ahead thanks to its lighter frame and swift-shifting gearbox. Yet, the BMW M2 leads in power and torque. The Cayman is about 600 lbs lighter compared to the M2.
