BMW unveils the updated 4 Series Gran Coupe and the all-electric i4, showcasing subtle design enhancements and advanced technology for the new model year. Notably, the M440i Gran Coupe receives a power boost by integrating a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, elevating its performance to 386 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.
This power upgrade and refinements to the engine’s breathing and efficiency through the Miller cycle promise an exhilarating driving experience. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the M440i Gran Coupe delivers seamless power delivery and enhanced responsiveness on the road.
Visual updates include redesigned headlights with an abstracted motif and optional adaptive LED headlights borrowed from the M4 CSL, enhancing aesthetics and functionality. Inside, drivers can choose between two new steering wheel options, while the updated curved infotainment display now features BMW’s latest iDrive 8.5 system.
Though i4 variants lack a power boost, they gain visual updates and tech enhancements. Enhanced EV route planning and charging improve electric driving convenience. Set to start production in July, BMW’s latest models promise performance, efficiency, and advanced tech for drivers.
