The most powerful version of the six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology now produces 530 hp. This power is channelled through an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic to all four wheels in the new BMW M3 Competition Sedan with M xDrive and the latest BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive. These models promise exhilarating performance with combined fuel consumption rates of 10.2 – 10.1 l/100 km and 10.4 – 10.3 l/100 km, respectively.

For those seeking a purer performance experience, the new BMW M3 Sedan offers a 480 hp engine variant paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. All variants will be produced at the BMW Group Plant in Munich, and the car will be launched worldwide starting in July 2024. The USA, China, Great Britain, Australia, and Germany are key markets.

The BMW M3 continues its tradition of delivering race-car-like performance in everyday driving. The 2025 models feature a high-revving straight-six engine with elements borrowed from race-car engine construction. This includes a rigid crankcase with a closed-deck design, a lightweight forged crankshaft, and a 3D-printed core for optimized coolant duct routing. The M TwinPower Turbo technology comprises two mono-scroll turbochargers, indirect intercoolers, High Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve timing, and Double-VANOS fully variable camshaft timing.

The upgraded engine in the M3 Competition models generates 530 hp, with a peak torque of 479 lb-ft between 2,750 and 5,730 rpm. This results in impressive acceleration, with the BMW M3 Competition Sedan with M xDrive reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. All variants have an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, which can be increased to 290 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package.

Chassis dynamics have been fine-tuned to deliver both high performance and comfort. The M-specific kinematics and elastokinematics of the front and rear axles ensure a blend of dynamic handling and everyday comfort. The standard Adaptive M suspension allows drivers to adjust the electronically controlled dampers, while the M Servotronic steering and integrated braking system enhance control.

Newly designed LED headlights, combining low and high beams in a single module, give the front of the M3 a fresh look. The interior features new steering wheels, high-quality materials, and the latest BMW iDrive system based on BMW Operating System 8.5. The fully digital BMW Curved Display includes a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display, presenting M-specific content.

The M Carbon Exterior Package adds precision to the car’s exterior with components like CFRP-made inlays for the air intakes, a rear diffuser, and exterior mirror caps. The Package also includes M Carbon ceramic brakes, M Carbon bucket seats, carbon fibre interior trim, and the M Driver’s package, enhancing the driving experience both on and off the track.
