Celebrating 25 years since the first model debuted, BMW introduced the new BMW X5 Silver Anniversary Edition, based on the xDrive40i model. This special edition stands out with its unique Lime Rock Grey paint and a commemorative badge on the tailgate.
In a nod to adventure enthusiasts, the X5 Silver Anniversary Edition includes the xOffroad Package as standard. This package features a two-axle air suspension, a mechanical rear differential lock, and extra underbody protection. With improved ground clearance and new driving modes—xSnow, xSand, xGravel, and xRocks—the X5 is more prepared for off-road conditions.
The xOffroad camera enhances the off-road experience by displaying the surrounding terrain at speeds up to 22 mph. The central screen’s xOffroad View shows details like inclination, downhill gradient, roll tendency, and ground clearance, making navigation easier on rough paths. Optional all-terrain tyres are available at a discount for those wanting to explore further off the beaten path. Combined with 20-inch two-tone wheels from the M Sport Package, these tyres offer enhanced durability and performance.
The special edition features carbon fibre trim and luxurious Black, Cognac, Coffee, or Silverstone Sensafin seat options. The interior also includes a special badge ahead of the gear selector.
Limited to around 1,000 units for the US market, the X5 Silver Anniversary Edition will be available starting in August. It is priced at $81,075 and includes additional features like a roof rack, trailer hitch, all-weather floor mats, and a luggage compartment mat, making it a premium yet practical choice for SUV enthusiasts.
