Unlike previous base models, the sDrive20i is far from bare-bones, providing most of the high-end features seen in its more expensive counterparts. With a starting price exceeding $80,000, it’s clear that BMW’s reputation for premium vehicles comes with a substantial cost.
Inside, the X3 impresses with a spacious cabin and a driving position that provides excellent visibility. The seats are designed for comfort, and the tech features are advanced, although the lack of customization in the digital dashboard is a minor drawback. Practicality is another strong suit, with ample storage space and excellent rear-seat comfort.
Under the hood, the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers adequate performance for city driving, although it may struggle a bit with a full load at highway speeds. This model’s absence of all-wheel drive limits its off-road capabilities, but for urban use, the rear-wheel-drive system suffices.
