The #24 car’s driver lineup—Vanthoor, Philipp Eng, Kevin Magnussen, and Raffaele Marciello—enthusiastically celebrated this early success. However, their teammates in the #25 BMW M Hybrid V8 faced challenges when a high-voltage system issue prevented them from completing a qualifying lap. Despite this setback, the team remains optimistic about turning things around during the race itself.

In the GTD PRO class, BMW’s impressive performance extended to the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, where Dan Harper drove the #48 Paul Miller Racing car to third on the grid with a time of 1:46.005 minutes. His teammates Max Hesse, Jesse Krohn, and Augusto Farfus joined him in applauding a strong team effort that promises an exciting race ahead. Meanwhile, other BMW M4 GT3 EVO teams, including Turner Motorsport and additional Paul Miller Racing entries, aim to improve their positions when the flag drops.

As the 24-hour race approaches, BMW M Motorsport hopes to translate this momentum into success on the track. The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship opener promises a fierce battle, with the BMW teams poised to make their mark across multiple classes.

The green flag will wave at 13:40 local time (19:40 CET), and fans can catch the action live on www.imsa.tv. BMW enthusiasts around the globe are ready to rally behind the team as they aim to solidify their dominance at Daytona.
