BMW USA sales rose up to 8.7% in Q3, 35.4% vs last year

BMW sales rose up to 8.7% this Q3 compared to last year’s term with a total of 75,619 vehicles sold. This report is from North America alone. Compared to last year, BMW has reached up to 35.4% increase in sales with a total of 243,613 vehicles sold. However, its MINI vehicles dropped up to 28.9% from 2020 Q3, selling a total of 6,445 vehicles in America. But, the beginning of the year, BMW has increased 12.7% of their 22,070 MINI sales as compared to last year’s Q1-Q3 sales.

Sebastian Mackensen, president and CEO of BMW North America, praised the efforts of their dealers for doing a remarkable job. Although this year has been difficult, BMW has managed to drive success for this endeavour by working to increase vehicle sales. Mackensen expects higher customer demand in the next quarter, following the trend of Q1-Q3 this year. His team will continue to keep an eye on inventory management to maintain positive sales throughout the year.

For the Pre-Owned Vehicles, BMW has sold a total of 86,563 vehicles with a 4.6% increase from the previous year. 2021 Q3 has decreased 8.7% in sales from the 2020 Q3, but BMW managed to keep up with their sales. For the MINI Pre-Owned Vehicles, it has sold 8,802 vehicles this year, reporting a 20.3% increase from last year. With a little drop of 0.3% from 2020 Q3, this quarter, it has sold 2,691 total vehicles.
