The other models have been more prominent than the M240i. However, the flagship is yet to unveil for a few months and it will be even longer before it is available to buy. dAHLer, a German tuner, has an option for people who want a more powerful M Performance version.
Competition Line is the brand name for a comprehensive aftermarket solution. First, an M2-style exhaust system is installed. The ceramic-coated tailpipes with a diameter of 100 mm are located on both sides of the bumper in the corners. This exhaust system was specially developed for European cars with a petrol particle philtre, according to the retrofit expert (GPF). If you want to vary the sound of your car while driving, dAHLer can install a custom Eventuri intake and adjustable exhaust valves. Stage 1 boosts the B58’s power to 430 hp and 450 lb-ft (610 lb-ft) of torque. Once Stage 2 is installed, the 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine will be even more powerful, producing 455 hp and 640 Nm of torque (472 lb-ft).
dAHLer has adapted the digital speedometer to increase power. It now reads 205 mph (330 km/h). Although the new M2 has as much power as the Stage 2 package for the M240i, it will not be able to reach 330 mph. Compare this to BMW’s 444 hp M2CS, which can reach just 280 km/h.
The firmer springs from dAHLer, apart from an ambitious speedomete, made the M Performance 2 Series Coupe lowered. To match the 20-inch forged wheels, the tuner offers an optional coilover suspension for an additional charge. The rims are lighter and have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres as standard. As a final touch, dAHLer is preparing a spoiler lip for the sporty coupe as a final touch. There are plans for further cosmetic and mechanical improvements.
