With the signing of an agreement the other day, world-famous Real Madrid and BMW will work together to develop numerous initiatives in the areas of transport, sustainability, and diversity. Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid Football Club, and Manuel Terroba, Executive President of BMW Group Spain and Portugal, were present today.
Under the agreement, Real Madrid’s football teams (men and women), basketball team, technical team, and executives will use BMW electric vehicles. BMW iX, i4, iX3, i7, or iX1 are among the vehicles available to the clubs. Audi has been one of Real Madrid’s main sponsors since 2003.
It was also announced that the Hub for Sustainability, an area of collaboration between BMW Spain and Real Madrid, will serve as a clearing house for new ideas for environmentally friendly and socially beneficial initiatives. In addition, BMW Spain and Real Madrid CF will work together to develop thoughts and actions to promote diversity.
A year after BMW’s Italian business signed a long-term agreement as Automotive Partner and Premium Partner with AC Milan, the two parties agreed to collaborate on a new project. From 2025, FC Bayern Munich’s main sponsor will be German car manufacturer BMW. On the other hand, the football club finally decided to extend its contract with Audi for another four years until 2029.
