BMW Motorrad has recently debuted a zero-emission urban mobility concept at 2017 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. It sits somewhere between a motorcycle and a scooter and features a pretty unique design. BMW likes to call it their “vision of zero-emission urban mobility on two wheels”.,†which ticks all the right boxes in the eco questionnaire.
The Motorrad Concept Link runs on a fully electric powertrain. The batteries are located in the floor while a small motor powers the rear wheel. It’s still just a concept, so no details on the battery capacity and driving range were provided.
It’s all about the futuristic, simplistic design. The driver would have a handy touchscreen for the full control and useful info. Many smartphone features would make the owner’s life easier – he could use a built-in calendar to plan the most efficient route, for example.
