2014 BMW M3 / M4 to Gain About 100lb-ft More Torque While Targeting E46 M3 Weight?

Rumor has it that the 2014 BMW M3 / M4 will gain about 100lb-ft more torque while targeting E46 M3 weight. This information was reported by Bimmerpost, who cites a BMW insider as a source. The same publication reports that this vehicle will be much lighter, more powerful and faster than current M3 with more torque but approximately same horsepower. Its efficiency is also expected to increase. Rumor has it that the vehicle will be powered by an inline 6 cylinder multi turbo engine offered with optional or standard manual transmission. Other rumored features are Electric Power Steering, Michelin Pilot Super Sport: 255/35/19 (front), 275/35/19 (rear) tires, M6 and 1M coupe-like front styling and power/vent bump on the hood. The launch is expected in 2014. For now, please take these information with a grain of salt.
