BMW appointed as the official limousine for inaugural World Health Summit 2013 in Singapore.

60 units of BMW automobiles handed over to leading international healthcare convention.

IMG_0121.01_lowSingapore – BMW Asia and Performance Motors Limited (PML) today announced their sponsorship of the World Health Summit Regional Meeting – Asia 2013, (WHSRMA) which will be holding its regional meeting in Singapore, for the first time, from April 8th to 10th.

The WHSRMA is a congregation of leading researchers, physicians, government officials and representatives from industry as well as from non-governmental organizations and health care systems worldwide, aimed at addressing the most pressing issues facing medicine and health care systems over the next decade and beyond.

Themed “Health for Sustainable Development in Asia”, this high-level meeting will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and will be graced by the Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Hsien Loong at its official opening ceremony on April 8th.

A fleet of 60 units comprising of both the flagship BMW 730Li and executive saloon BMW 520i that was earlier handed over to representatives of the WHSRMA will be used to chauffeur distinguished guests, VIPs and delegates of this prestigious convention in style and comfort.

With the new eight-speed automatic transmission, the BMW 730Li is able to complete the century sprint 0.3 seconds faster than its predecessor (at 7.5 seconds). It has further improved its average fuel consumption by 11% to 8.7 litres/100km) and lowered its CO2 emissions by 11% to 202g/km against its predecessor, both as per EU test cycle.

BMW 520i:

Dynamic performance with Driving Pleasure.

Demand in car markets all over the world is steadily growing. With it seductive styling, its unrivalled balance between sporty performance and comfort, and an extensive range of innovative equipment features, this series quickly established itself as the world market leader in its segment.

As fitted in the new BMW 520i, the four-cylinder engine develops maximum power of 184 hp at 5,000 rpm and peak torque of 270 Nm, which is available between 1,250 and 4,500 rpm. Instantaneous power response helps the BMW 520i Sedan perform the century sprint in 8.0 seconds and achieve a top speed is 226 km/h. Simultaneous efficiency improvements are reflected in its average fuel consumption of 6.7 litres/100km and its CO2 emissions of 155g/km, both as per EU test cycle.
