BMW i4 to be unveiled at LA Auto Show?

Rumor has it that i4 and i5 vehicles are being considered as additional cars under the BMW i sub-brand. L’Automobile, a French publication, reports the possibility of BMW unveiling the i4 at the LA Auto Show this month. The i4 is expected to be based on the i3, but it will be much sportier with just two seats and two doors. CFRP technology is also expected and the i4 could make use of the same hybrid drivetrain as the i3: a plug-in system with a compact electric motor mounted over the rear axle, drawing energy from the battery to provide drive to the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission and will most likely deliver 168 horsepower and 184lb ft of torque. BMW has not released any reports about this vehicle or the unveiling.
