BMWNA CEO Confims New BMW M3 and M4 will be powered by inline-six engine

After months of rumors and speculations about the engine of the next M3 and M4, BMW of North America CEO Ludwigh Willisch puts and end to these rumors at the U.S. Press Launch of the BMW M6 Convertible and 6 Series Gran Coupe. It is now confirmed that the engine for the M3 and M4 is an inline-six unit. The engine is expected to be mated to a dual-clutch transmission. The BMW M3 will debut in 2013, followed a year later by the M4 Coupe.
