Ahead of its launch, the upcoming ALPINA B3, based on the new F30 3 Series, was photographed in Germany. ALPINA models are known for having the electronic speed limit removed, therefore aerodynamic components at the front and rear become a necessity in order for the car to properly operate at high speeds. Based on these photos, a new front apron in the typical unobtrusive ALPINA style and a massive spoiler lip on the rear to help with downforce is included. Four tailpipes does not appear yet in this prototype. The vehicle is expected to be powered by an upgraded turbocharged inline-six 3.0 liter engine based on the current state of the TwinScroll single turbo N55 unit delivering 420 hp. The new ALPINA F30 B3 will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
