The Auto Bild reports that the electric concept car will be built on the modular MEB chassis and is going to represent a direct competition to the BMW i3.

Specs like performance and range are not known yet. Judging by the year it will be available – 2019 – it’s expected that it won’t be less powerful than the standard. EV cars in 2019 will deliver over 320 km range and cost less than $40,000. This estimation is based on the i3 recently increasing its range from 130 to 180 km.

The NUVe is one of six new concepts that will be built on the MEB platform, with 4 of them having a good chance to actually be produced.
