Countdown Begins for the 2023 BMW iX1 Electric SUV Debut

Despite being busy this year, BMW teases their next reveal. Through a social media post, BMW i announced a new SUV from the luxury carmaker. Now, the countdown begins for the 2023 BMW iX1 Electric SUV debut.

BMW released their new 3 Series LCI and M4 CSL, but they are not yet done with the reveals. The Bavarians have been teasing the third electric SUV for quite some time already. However, the exact date for its debut remains a mystery. Still, this means that we will not wait any longer for the iX1 reveal. The images they posted are the same as the prototypes that they tested in Sweden.

A piece of confirmed information about the iX1 includes running 272 miles after one charging. It will also have the fifth-gen eDrive technology. We will also see this tech in the MINI Countryman EV.

Another piece of information we know is that it will offer an xDrive. BMW will install two electric motors on the xDrive, while other versions will only have one. A plug-in hybrid will also join the iX1 lineup. This will add to the gasoline and diesel-powered X1 models.

These models will look almost the same since the SUV will have the same platform as the EV. Indeed, this design strategy will mirror the new 7 series and i7’s relationship. The relationship will look like the X3 to iX3 and the 3 Series LCI to the i3 Sedan.

BMW will debut the X1 towards the end of 2022. This means we will not wait much longer for the iX1, hopefully. Aside from the zero-emissions model, an M Performance X1 M35i will also roll in. Although an exact date is not yet here, the countdown begins for the 2023 BMW iX1 debut. So watch out for the next teasers!
