Video: Detailed Explanation of BMW iPerformance Models

BMW is spending time, money, and lots of effort in order to raise the bar for the eco-friendly cars that they will release. The German automaker’s sales for diesel and petrol engines are still very high. However, BMW recognises that the future of mobility is in electric vehicle variants. Thus, they have launched the iPerformance models. See a detailed view here:

The vehicles included in the iPerformance line are sold under the iPerformance badge. They are mostly powered by 3 or 4-cylinder petrol engines but these engines work together with electric motors that makes it sustainable. The technology is quite new but its very promising.

For the electric motor to work, the iPerformance cars come with a battery pack that is located near the back or on top of the rear axle. Battery sizes differ in location, size and capabilities so BMW adjust the design accordingly. Right now, there is still a long way to go in perfecting electric vehicle but BMW is getting there.
