[Spy Photos] Heavily Camouflaged BMW 8 Series Convertible

There have been reports that BMW may be working on a next-generation 6 Series and a new 8 Series grand tourer. These heavily camouflaged images may just be the first look at the droptop version of either of the two cars in the making. We don’t know which yet, but can it be the BMW 8 Series Convertible?

It actually looks a lot like the BMW i8 coupe. The droptop looks amazing! It does have a slightly lower roofline than the coupe and a sharper angle at the back. This design adjustment makes it possible to lower the roof and have the top open.

There are some very interesting things on the rear though. There are two camouflaged sections inside the vehicle and this may mean that BMW is not giving away the secrets of this design yet. It can be more than what meets the eye. In fact, it may not be a fabric roof at all – just a folding hard top concealed. Or, they may just be hiding the interior.
