Leaked Patents for the BMW i5?

Due to the excitement about what the BMW i division has in store next, many speculations have been circulating about a BMW i5 vehicle. Though nothing has been confirmed by the automaker yet, the BMW crowd is hopeful that it is the i5 and that it will not disappoint. To further excite the crowd, these may be leaked photos for the BMW i5 patents.

These possibly leaked images show BMW patents for the BMW i5 and if this is true, then these are great images to know what the car will look like if it gets green lighted.

The images here show a mix of BMW i3 and i8 design elements. The car shown in these images lack the premium feel. Its a little disappointing for other fans because they expected more from BMW. Something to the tune of a ground breaking design that will dethrone the BMW i8.

It actually looks a lot like the Toyota Prius/Chevy Bolt, to be candid. Is this a product of BMW and Toyota working closely together then? Even the door handles seen to be borrowed from Tesla Model S.

There is a high possibility that this is not an actual patent because it is not in line with BMW’s goal to attract more people to choose sustainable mobility, but it is not impossible too.
