Our sources claim that the European market can expect the 2018 BMW X3 in November this year, while the production will start in August. The car will arrive in the US at the beginning of 2018.
The G01 X3 will show a new design language that will soon spread to other BMW cars. It is built on a new, RWD flexible modular system which offers more space on the inside and a new seating system providing great comfort. It will be around 100 kg lighter than the current X3, thanks to the new platform and the new construction processes.
We can still expect the same proportions and visually similar car, clearly different from the rest of the X Series. Other innovations will include new high-tech and safety features and advanced telematics.
As for the versions offered, BMW will give us the choice among two B47 2.0-liter diesel engines, B57 3.0-liter straight six diesel, and B58 3.0-liter straight six petrol.
