BMW has once again impressed with the reveal of the 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, a sleek and refined alternative in a market crowded with SUVs. This new generation model brings the elegance of a coupé with modern updates without losing the charm that made the 2 Series a fan favourite. Its release marks a return to style-driven design, blending sportiness with practicality, and it’s set to arrive in European showrooms by March 2025.
From the outside, the 2 Series Gran Coupe retains its sleek profile with striking updates. The front features a sharper grille, modified bumpers, and LED headlights with matrix technology, making it bold and futuristic. The side dimensions remain familiar, maintaining their compact yet stylish proportions. At the same time, the rear showcases redesigned lights and a more aggressive stance, especially in the M235 variant, which also features sporty tailpipes and a boot spoiler.
Inside, BMW continues to push tech boundaries with its Curved Display dual-screen setup. The interior is designed for a driver-focused experience, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch touchscreen for infotainment, all powered by BMW’s latest Operating System 9. Comfort is a priority in the M235, offering a well-positioned driving setup and supportive seats, though rear seating remains tight, typical for this class. With 430 litres of boot space, it offers practicality for day-to-day use.
Two petrol and two diesel engine options power the 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe. The lineup starts with a 218d diesel engine producing 150 PS, while the top-tier M235 boasts 300 PS and all-wheel drive. A seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch automatic transmission comes standard across the range, ensuring a smooth and sporty ride. For those seeking more dynamic handling, M Sport and M Sport Pro packages enhance the driving experience, featuring upgraded suspension, brakes, and exclusive design elements.
The new 2 Series Gran Coupe is now available for order in the UK, with deliveries beginning in March 2025. Though only petrol models are currently offered, the lineup ensures a stylish and exhilarating ride for those looking to stand out from the SUV crowd.
