In just about 7 days, BMW will finally reveal the all-new G30 5 Series to the world. Before it debuts online, prototype testing continues and they give us small hints about the features of the car. These most recent photos of a prototype revealed the front and rear bumpers of the redesigned premium sedan.
These photos were captured in Germany. This is the first time we’re seeing the lower fascia and bumpers of the G30 5 Series. It features an emphasised kidney grille, directly connected headlights, and a more dynamic look.
The hood has strong lines running from the top of the hood all the way to the outer edge of the grille and it also has a massive chrome frame.
There is a prominent eyebrow above the LED headlights which flows directly into the side of the kidney grille. The front skirt also has a continuous air inlet and this serves well for improving the air resistance in the front wheel arches.
The rear end looks a lot sleeker and sportier than the predecessor. This one has a subtle rear spoiler present on the trunk, plus L-shaped headlights wrapping around the curvy rear panels.
The first deliveries will happen in 2017. The new BMW G31 5 Series Touring will be launched after.
