ALPINA surely knows how to keep fans super excited about the upcoming BMW ALPINA B5 Biturbo Touring. This video definitely confirms that it is coming soon!
The ALPINA B5 Biturbo Touring is expected to be as fast and exciting as the BMW M550i but with a bit more to offer in terms of luxury and practicality. Having an ALPINA variant of a car that we already love is super exciting.
The new teaser video simply shows a camouflaged 5 Series Touring doing some aggressive driving on twisty mountain roads. The typical ALPINA front bumper and some body bits are obvious despite the camouflage. The classic ALPINA wheels are also looking fantastic!
Details about the engine have not been released. However, an ALPINA-tuned variant of the 4.4 liter V8 is expected. This will then rival the BMW M550i in terms of power and performance but not as dynamic. What is loses in that area it will make up for in giving extra luxury and practicality.
BMW is not making a Touring variant of the M550i or the M5 so the ALPINA B5 Biturbo is great in practicality. It is the only performance wagon variant of the 5 Series that customers in Europe can purchase so it is expecting a huge following.
