Only a few months ago, the very first leaked images revealed the supposed concept of the upcoming 2021 BMW 2 Series Coupe. Now, two more pictures, possibly of the same G42 platforms, give more information on the design. The fully revealed concept reveals a possible Black BMW M240i.
Although the badge is not identifiable, features such as the silver details in the air inlets of the front apron. Also, the distinctive shape of the tailpipes suggests that this may be an M Performance prototype.

The BMW 2 Series Coupé’s second generation is the standard rear-wheel drive of the Brand. Which explicitly differentiates from the Gran Coupe four-door. Unlike other BMW compact class models, Black BMW M240i utilizes the CLAR not the UKL architecture. The length of the motor and the balanced weight distribution are also maintained.
Interestingly, although the “Mx35i” naming convention is referred to as the M Performance variant of the front drive family, the M240i badge will continue to be used on this car. Better still, the B58 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit will power the Top 2 Series model.
The new Black BMW M240i model competes above the M240i, which offers an even higher level of driving with parts of the upcoming M3 and M4 series. Within the BMW 2 Coupe G42 series, we expect that the new BMW 2 will be virtually similar to the current BMW 3 series. It is set to launch the next generation 2 series in early 2021.
