BMW 1 Series: Top-selling car in Germany in September

The new BMW 1 Series is doing great in the Bavarian market. Report shows sales of 3,033 units of the front-wheel drive 1 Series for the month of September alone. And, by far, the F40 1 Series – which completed their model change from the F20 generation to the current F40 just last year – recorded the most growth in sales.

BMW 1 Series: Top-selling car in Germany

The X5, X6 and X7 are most famous among customers, with 50 percent of sales increase in total. The older model, which is the 2 Series, also grew in sales compare to the previous year. As observed, this is most likely because of the all-new 2 Series Gran Coupe of this range.

The BMW 3 Series acquired sales somewhat lower than last September. However, its dominance among other models from the very start of the year is undeniable. With 30,000 customers that sold the BMW 3 Series G20 / G21 in the first three quarters of the year. The 1 Series F40 has sales of almost over 10,000 units taking the lead in the middle class, while obtaining 22,467 new registrations, making them in second place.

The 3 Series, X6 and X7 were the only models that seem to be positively developing in sales despite the fact that the September 2020 registrations are almost uninfluenced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overall, the sales of BMW fell by 16.6 percent in the market, as reported by the Federal Motor Transport Authority. Fortunately, the brand was able to continually increase their sales every month of the third quarter.
