In a generation of SUVs, it may seem unusual to say that the BMW 3 Series remains a favorite for car enthusiasts. But the awards that this compact executive car received this year proves a point.
The BMW 3 Series has been one of the most valued cars in its range. And it even took the trophy as the best-selling BMW car ever made. But the popularity of the X3 and X1 models has stolen some of the figures from the 3er. Nevertheless, the BMW 3 Series remains a favorite to both journalists and buyers. In fact, it snatched some relevant awards proving its popularity.
The first award came as early as February when the 3 Series bagged the “Best Cars 2020†award. This award came from a German motoring magazine, “auto, motor, und sportâ€. Not long after, the second award came from the “Auto Zeitung†magazine. And the BMW 330i Sedan and BMW 330i Touring received the “Auto Trophyâ€. Accordingly, the magazine gave the award as a “sport auto award†title.
The 3 Series also snatched a pair of awards from a Chinese offshoot competition of the “auto, motor, und sport”. It took the “Best Locally Produced Middle-Class Sedanâ€. And it also received overall recognition as “Best Middle-Class Sedanâ€. Awards from the “autohome.com†and “Gasgoo.com†car websites added trophies to the 3 Series.
Furthermore, the 3 Series also received awards from the UK. This includes the “Safety Award†from “What Car?â€. The “Company Car Today†also gave the “Car of the Year†title to the 3er. Other titles it received are “Great British Fleet Award†and “Best New Fleet Carâ€. A car website, “Auto Trader†also gave the “Most Loved Car†to the BMW 3 Seriesâ€. The “El Economista†magazine in Spain rated the 3 Series as the “Best Sedan†of 2020.
All these awards point at one thing: the BMW 3 Series continues to be a crowd favorite. With its charm and functionalities, it remains one of the most appreciated BMW cars.
