BMW 30 Jahre M3 Special Edition

BMW is all about celebrating anniversaries this year. After the 100th birthday of the company and the 50th birthday of the 2002 model, they are now announcing a 30 Jahre M3 – a special edition of M3 in honor of the model’s 30th birthday.

The special edition of the M3 will come in only 500 units that will be sold worldwide this summer. The “30 Jahre M3”, or “30 Years M3”, is based on the M3 Competition Package. The 3.0-liter TwinTurbo inline-six engine delivers 444 HP, 19 more compared to the standard M3. The special edition model features a six-speed manual transmission system or a Getrag seven-speed dual clutch automatic.

The Competition package adaptive suspension is also there, including springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars. The wheels are the same as the M4 GTS has.

There aren’t many changes in the interior. There are a couple of “30 Jahre M3” badges and the sports seats come specifically trimmed. Each of the 500 units is numbered wich makes it completely unique within the special edition.

It’s still not clear what color choices will be available in the end. In Germany, the 30 Jahre M3 will cost 10,000 euros, so similar prices can be expected everywhere.
